Security Certificate Issues - Google & Facebook
Starting Thursday I can't seem to access Google or Facebook on any browser. When on Firefox, I get the error, "This Connection Is Untrusted" with the following technical details: www.google.com
uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not trusted. (Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer)
When using Chrome, I receive the error, "SSL Connection Error" with the following details: Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have. Error code: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
When using IE, I receive the error "There is a problem with this website’s security certificate" with the following details: The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.
To solve this problem, I have tried the following: Full system scan with Kaspersky Lab -- no results Full system scan with Malwarebytes -- no results Full cleanup with CCleaner -- didn't resolve the problem Registry cleaner with CCleaner -- didn't resolve the problem Reset firefox to system defaults (at first I thought it was just a firefox issue) -- didn't resolve the problem Reset router -- didn't resolve the problem
The date and time on my system clock is accurate.
This issue only seems to manifest itself on Google or Facebook. I can access other https websites such as Reddit, Twitter, Yahoo, etc. I've never had this issue before, and I'm stumped.
Here are my system specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) System Manufacturer: Sony Corporation System Model: SVE15115FXS
If you need me to provide more information, let me know! I appreciate any and all help from you tech-gods! UPDATE: Changed the security settings on Kaspersky and reinstalled (some of) my browser's security certificates. My access isn't 100% perfect, but it's pretty much solved. Thanks everyone for the help!

Fun With Registry Cleaners
"Every time I run this registry cleaner my Live Mail gets erased, this has happened three times!"
"Ok, so just to be clear... every time YOU, not a technician, run the registry cleaner all of your email gets erased, correct? So... it would probly be a good idea either to either have us run it for you, uninstall it, or change the parameters on it..."
"WELL WHY HASNT ANYONE TOLD ME THIS?!"
The power of deduction. What is it.
