[Discussion] How to cool my dog down when he's an idiot ?
As some of you might know, there's a heat wave in the EU and we're experiencing temperatures that we shouldn't be having for this period of time.
While I can get through the day by taking a cold shower or whatever, I'm worried about my dog.
He's a medium mix with quite thick fur ( Been aggressively brushing it to get it thinner to help him out ) and has been panting all night.
I have a fair amount of colder wood floors in my apartment, but the idiot chooses to sit in the window sil in ful lview of the usn, or next to me on the couch where it's hotter than the floor.
Last night I got incredibly worried as he started pacing quite a bit and panting like a ticking time bomb. I got some frozen peas and rubbed him a little with it which helped him a bit, but as it was getting late and I needed to sleep.
As it'll reach the 30 Celsius mark again today, I'm worried about what I'll come back too after work.
Are there any DIY tricks to give him a cold zone ? Or keep him super cool ?
I've bought a washing basket which I've filled with water and left it in the apartment. Hoping he sits in there and chills. Would rather he's comfortable and have to mop a bit when I come home than him being ill :((
