Hey guys we need more active members for our multiplayer league and we need them fast because next season is going to be big. We are currently in the 2020 season right now in the all star break about to finish the regular season. But before you join let me list out on how this basketball GM multiplayer league is going to work. How this league works:
One the moderators of the league will sim with Basketball GM
and give out exports which is a feature in the game that you can give out files to people who wants to see how your league works generally. Anyways, the moderators send out the exports on export channels in discord. Once you see the export
file, download it. When you create a new league in Basketball GM you will see that there is a part with random players. Click that and switch to upload league file
and do choose file and find the file that you downloaded, the export. Once you uploaded it choose the team that you are managing and create new league. Once you created the new league you will be able to see all the info thats necessary to managing a team. The catch is that your sim doesn't count. The main purpose of exports is to see how your team is faring and your rosters, cap, power rankings ,etc. Only mod sims count.
We will release three exports
in one season which means that one regular season is 6 days. After the regular season we have the playoffs which is streamed live on Twitch. After the playoffs we will give out an export. After playoffs we have the draft lottery in which we will stream live on also and we will also give out an export after the draft lottery which is the draft export. The draft is also streamed live on Twitch where you tell the moderators who you are choosing in the chat section on Twitch. If you can't make it there, list out your top 3 picks ahead of time. If not you can just tell us to let us choose for you (we will choose with highest ovpot).
When the draft is over we will release the resigning exports a day later. Resigning period will take around a week or so but you have to put your contract offers in the resigning channels or else the player won't be resigned. After resignings we have Free Agency which lasts around a week. For free agency we use Google Forms for contract offers, pitches to convince the player to join your team. I would recommend a pitch thats at least a paragraph if you are pitching to an All-Star. So when Free Agency is over we move on to Preseason with a new export. Preseason lasts about two days after that the cyle continues. More FA, trading, drafting, etc info in discord. Cool things about this league:
The thing that makes this league unique is the fact that we have the Euroleague, College, and G-league connected to the main league. For G-league its exactly like real life where you can assign players to the G-league and call them up whenever in the regular season. You can also sign players from the G-league in the middle of the season. We also do exports for G-league like the NBA one and we also use Basketball GM to sim. All transactions related to the G-league is in the G-league category on discord.
For Euroleague, its for a scouting report for the upcoming international players. We also do the same thing for Euroleague with exports, played on Basketball GM, and you can also sign players who are over 23 years of age in the middles of season to your team. Put all transactions in the Euroleague category.
For college, its also a scouting report for upcoming prospects. This time we use this game called College Basketball Coach
which is a basketball GM game but on college. The game itself have a feature that can make us import draft classes to Basketball Gm. It also gives us an insight of future college players up to 15 year olds. For that some players will decide to skip college (randomized values) and want to go to a G-league team when they hit 18 years of age and after they play one season in the G-league they may be called up to the NBA. Then teams can start pitching to the high school player to come to their G-league team when he reaches 18. Doesn't matter about age, he can be 15 and you can start pitching to him to commit to your G-league team.
Thats mostly it about NBASL, and I higly recommend you guys to join this awesome league!! We currently need a lot of active gms to get this league up and running so when you join don't worry you will get a team! :)
P.S. We post daily news articles revovling around NBA, G-league, Euroleague, upcoming draft prospects, interviews with players, cutscenes, etc.

Fran Vazquez was drafted with the 11th pick of the 2005 nba draft by the orlando magic ahead of guys like danny granger, gerald green, and david lee. at the time he was drafted he opted to stay with the spanish acb league for at least 1 season and then signed a 4 year deal in aug of 2005. its not 14 years later, so what happened here?
this is a interview fran gave to hoopshype back in aug of 2005:
Are you aware Magic fans are very upset with for your decision to stay in Spain?
Fran Vazquez: I clearly understand what people think. Executives from Orlando came to Spain to talk with me and express their total support for my decision. They asked me if I wanted to play in the NBA and I said, "Yes, indeed." But I didn't know exactly when. I've decided to stay here in Spain in order to improve my game and go to the NBA being a better player.
On the other hand, it seems like the media and fans in Orlando are tired with the mistakes the franchise has made...
FV: I understand why people got angry because of my decision. I'm sorry for all this because a lot of people don't understand why I stayed in Spain. But I've planned my future for the next four years (Vazquez recently signed a four-year contract with Akasvayu Girona).
Are you going to be in touch with the Magic?
FV: Of course I will. I think they are going to travel to Spain to see me play a couple of games. When I feel it is the time to jump, I will jump to the NBA. But not before I am ready to go. My goal right now is to do things right in Girona the next four years. But who knows? Maybe I will be ready to play in the NBA before my contract ends.
When you went to the United States, was there anything in particular that you didn't like?
FV: I don't know... When I was in Orlando, I didn't see a lot because I stayed only a couple of days. I remember New York and I really didn't like their way of living. They are always in a hurry. By the way, I know Orlando is different from New York and I'm sure that I could tell you a lot of interesting things about the city had I stayed in Orlando more time.
What do you think about the Spanish National Team?
FV: In my opinion, our team is very quick on the floor. Many players like running the floor and I think that we must run whenever we can. We also have a very good defense and some players can shut down the star of the other team.
Pau Gasol will not be in the European Championship this time... Are you the one that's going to step up?
FV: I don't like the idea of being the next Gasol, although I like the fact that people believe in me. But I'm not scared about the idea, though. Last year I played very well in crunch time with Unicaja, and sometimes we won and others we lost.
What are your expectations with your new club Akasvayu Girona this season?
FV: Big! I like the city of Girona and we have a very strong team with great players like Raul Lopez. The weather will be different compared to Malaga, but I think I will be OK in Girona and I hope we will do things right.
so what happened here? he obviously wanted to jump to the nba at some point. but it has been 14 years and fran is currently 35 years old (will be 36 in may) and is signed with his current euro club thru 2020.
the only other thing ive been able to find about fran potentially coming to the nba (in english at least) is from a article from the orlando sentinel from 2012 that was mainly talking about the dwight howard rumors at the time and briefly mentions fran:
The plan involves Fran
Remember Fran Vazquez?
The Magic haven't forgotten the forgotten man of their 2005 draft.
Smith said Vazquez' contractual situation will allow him to come over to the states and maybe finally attempt to make the Magic's roster.
"That's the plan," Smith said of the Spanish power forward.
Vazquez is playing for FCB Regal in Spain. Smith said Assistant General Manager Dave Twardzik and scout Sam Foggin have seen and spoke with Vazquez.
The Magic still own the NBA rights to Vazquez. The club drafted Vazquez with the 11th pick, but he decided to remain in Spain.
Minnesota Timberwolves PG Ricky Rubio earlier this season and told the Orlando Sentinel earlier this season, "He's physically ready to come here [and play in the NBA]. I played with him a couple of years in Barçelona, and it's easy to play with him because he doesn't need the ball.
"He's a worker. He's going to fight for every rebound. He's going to fight every possession. And you can throw the ball in there, and he's going to catch it and throw it down."
high praise from rubio in this article too.
so what has fran done basketball wise in his career? well he is the all time euroleague and spanishleague leader in blocks, has won multiple spanish cups and supercups, and won the euroleague title in 2010.
